READ THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AND PUT IT IN TO ACTION

The earthquake of Oct.8 has brought the biggest shock of our life. Thousands of us have lost our houses and are now living in cold mid-term shelters.  But will it be possible to live in these shelters for a long time? We all will want to move back into spacious houses to be warm and safe against the future earthquake.

  HOW CAN WE DO THIS?

Instead of blindly following the others it is best for you to understand the technologies that you can use to achieve this. Following are the options you can think off.

If your house is little damaged then repair it properly and use the remaining assistance to make your house safer for future earthquake by retrofitting

DO NOT USE THE ASSISTANCE FOR THINGS LIKE PLASTERING OR FLOORING, WHICH WILL NOT BRING SAFETY.

If your house has a lot of damage but your roof and upper story are almost intact then do not dismantle the undamaged portion of your house. Use the money to restore the damaged portion properly and then make the entire house safer for future earthquake by retrofitting. With this you will get the spacious safer house for a minimum of expense.

DO NOT TEAR DOWN THE UNDAMAGED PORTION OF YOUR HOUSE
Where the house is totally collapsed along with the roof, rebuild the house on the same foundation reusing the material from the collapsed house with earthquake resistant technologies.

REUSE MAXIMUM MATERIAL FROM YOUR OLD HOUSE

The Government already has engineers in your area with the necessary technical information for repair, restoration, retrofitting and rebuilding to help you to ensure your safety against future earthquake.

Select  those options and  materials that you can afford. Do not listen to what others say.

Do not rush in to working on your house. Take time to understand the best option and then only start the work on your house.

DO NOT DISMANTLE ANYTHING OUT OF FEAR AND DO NOT BUILD ANYTHING
 THAT IS NOT EARTHQUAKE RESISTANT.

It is in your hand to get maximum safety for your family
So know and understand the technologies, then plan and build
And sleep peacefully for years to come with your family
